We pride ourselves on the care and respect that we show to the deceased and the consideration and help that we provide to the family and friends that they have left behind.
But of course you don’t have to take our word for it. Here are some of the actual feedback that Aaron Bewley and the rest of the AJB Funerals Team have received from those we have been entrusted to support.
Thank you so very much for bringing a calm to the drama at the beginning of events on Wednesday. I’m not good dealing with technology at the best of times so when I’m feeling emotionally on the edge there’s no hope and all logic was abandoned. So, thank you !I also wanted to let you know that Sally has been simply amazing throughout. I appreciate that it is her ‘job’, but in all honesty I forgot that she was doing her job, she was living it and had an aura that put me at rest, reassured me and comforted me. She was efficient with the detail and her care of mum was exceptional. As if all this wasn’t enough, she called at my home with a rose from mum’s coffin. The gesture of rescuing the rose gave me such a sense of relief and closure, I can’t thank her enough for her thoughtfulness. Just amazing, I am just another client, but it didn’t feel that way.Thank you Aaron, such an important time for us all, brimming with emotion , you absolutely gave Pete and I peace in every way.
T and I would like to thank you for providing us with such a lovely Funeral.
A huge and special thanks to Sally. Sally was friendly and professional….. nothing was too much trouble and she seamlessly took so much weight off our shoulders. My Sister was thrilled with Sally’s special touch of delivering a rose from Mums Coffin to her house, it was totally unexpected but will provide a special memory of the day.
Whilst this is your daily business, it certainly did not feel that way to us….. you both made us feel completely individual.
Again Aaron…..many many thanks to both you and Sally.
I would like to say thank you to you all, especially Sally, for your kindness and for taking care of my much loved brother Trevor. He was a very special man who will be sorely missed by all his family and everyoneus who knew him
Hello AngelaIf you haven’t already realised it, I am so very grateful for everything you have done to support me over the last few weeks and for making Marjorie’s funeral go so smoothly. I have nothing but praise for your firm and would never hesitate to recommend your services to others if they ever asked me for advice. Please convey my thanks to all concerned.Thank you, Angela. You’ve been such a kind and steadying person during what has been a distressing few weeks for me since M died.
I would just like to thank you and Aaron for helping us through a difficult time and ensuring that dads funeral was perfect.
The day went so well it was everything we asked for everyone that came said what a fabulous service it was and how upbeat they felt which is exactly how we wanted it to be. Phil was excellent we absolutely loved him he was perfect for the occasion. The pheasant provided us with a buffet with chips and extra sandwiches as so many people came back for food which was also so kind of them. So once again thank you for everything at a challenging time it couldn’t have gone better even the weather was perfect.
Hi Sally, Aaron and staff
I would just like to thank you all for a wonderful job you did at the funeral and memorial, you were all so lovely and patient with us.
I would like to offer a huge thank you to you for everything that you and your colleagues, plus the celebrant Rachel, did both to plan and prepare, then deliver, T’s funeral on Friday. Everyone was delighted with the way that it went and I believe that we gave T as good a send-off as we possibly could. You and your team looked after us perfectly throughout and made a difficult day much easier. We were also delighted that we were able to carry T in with your help and guidance, and that everyone and everything around us was organised seamlessly.
I understand that S has also written to you but I wanted to express my personal gratitude as T’s father. Once again, my heartfelt thanks for Friday to you and your whole team.
Dear Angela,Thank you so much for the personal effort made by you and the very professional service provided by yourself and all your colleagues. I was really impressed and am extremely grateful. The gathering back at Dad’s went wonderfully well and the catering was considered excellent too, which helped along with the lovely weather. But it was the service that mattered the most and much of that was down to you. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much to you and your colleagues Sarah, not just on the day itself but leading up to it.
Hi SarahI’d like to say a huge thank you on behalf of the whole family for the ease in which you helped us all get through the last couple of weeks with very little for us to do. Please extend the thanks to the whole of the company.
I know Kevin has thanked you for everything but I just want to say how I feel exactly the same way – you were a breath of fresh air and I knew you would be! I am so grateful. You were understanding, kind, patient and it was lovely to see you at the wake too, even though I didn’t get a chance to speak to you – thank you.
Hi Angela,I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and the funeral bearers and drivers for making yesterday go so smoothly. You couldn’t have written it. At one point I seriously thought that only myself and my son would be the only mourners. When I entered the crematorium I was blown away by how many had actually made it. Things didn’t go quite how we had thought but it will be talked about down the years. Paul would have found it hysterically funny. Once again thank you and please tell all your staff that they did a great job. I will certainly be recommending your firm to my friends you made the whole process so easy.
I know that Mum will come and see you and express her own thanks, but I just wanted to add mine. From the first day that Mum and I met you, you were an absolute pleasure to work with. You reassured us and comforted us both just when we needed it. You and your team were also consummate professionals throughout so a huge thank you to you all.
On behalf of all of my family and myself I would like to say a massive thankyou for your part in saying farewell to one of life’s loveliest human beings. He was a humble man but he would have been loving that show tbat we all put on. The Greatest Show On Earth happened that day and for that we are eternally grateful.
Do you have a complaints department… because if you have- they obviously don’t ever have any work to do! Thanks you to everyone involved, the funeral went even better than we hoped. Special thanks to James for going the extra mile and picking him up from the Globe. If you ever need a recommendation, we would be happy to supply one.
I would like to say thank you to you all for the dignity and respect paid to not only my Dad but to all the family. I felt Dad was in safe hands and well looked after. Thank you for your kindness and support.
This is just a message to say a big thank you to you all for your guidance and support on Wednesday. The family are very pleased with the send off that they were able to give Ann. As I said numerous times during the day, you all offer an outstanding service and I was particularly impressed by the pastoral support that you offered to the family. You clearly go above and beyond to support families during a difficult time.
AJB funerals provided an exquisite service. Every facet of the funeral was conducted with the utmost professionalism. The thoughtful care and consideration taken by Angela and her staff turned, what could be a stressful time for families, into a joyous celebration of a life.
Words can’t describe how great you have all been!! I am forever in your debt. Thank you!!
The D Family
I wanted to write to you today and share my appreciation for Sarah Ellis in supporting myself and family in arranging a painless but as always emotionally testing time for my late mum’s funeral on August 9th, June, my mum rest in peace.
From the very outset whilst speaking to Hattie on my first call in a difficult circumstance I was assured of a professional and timely process, bearing in mind my mum died at home which I would never have thought would be the case. Josh arrived promptly and dealt with the situation impeccable for which I am truly greatly for. We then arranged a meeting in Chippenham with Sarah Ellis.
I arrived before my dad and uncle and Sarah straight away recognised my vulnerability and sat and spoke about numerous subjects while I waited and not once did she conclude my conversation. Sarah spoke with compassion, sympathy, authority when required and efficiency which made this a bearable meeting and next steps easily confirmed-we all commented how straight forward she was.
Sarah needed to act fast due to myself living in Dubai and wanting to have everything sorted in a manageable timeframe with respect adhered too, so Dad didn’t have to do alone. She rang the crematorium immediately confirming the 9th August while we were there, sorted the songs, hymns and then had the challenge to call a vicar who was relevant and not on vacation or otherwise engaged. On the 6th attempt we managed to secure Rev John Darling-wonderful man. Sarah was reachable throughout the week prior to the funeral on WhatsApp/ email/ call never asking to many questions or rushing us for things involving the order of service-she suggested things and was transparent and honest. The funeral was an emotional ordeal as you would expect but Sarah made it strangely better, offering my daughter Molly ( 4 years old) butterfly’s from mums flowers at the end and very sincere, kind supporting words to me-Sarah in a short period of time became a friend of our family and will remain so.
It doesn’t end there….Dad picked up the urn today and I asked Sarah to meet Dad now that I am back in Dubai but she just message me to say she was in another office but Dad had picked up already and apologise that she was not about-really kind to message me and again cemented my email of recommendation.
I would be happy to refer Sarah and her team and welcome this message to be shared.
We cannot thank Aaron enough for his help in organising and arranging our fathers funeral, and for supporting us through the various aspects of the process. I’m sure we tested his patience, but you would never have known it! He was kind & compassionate and provided us with invaluable ideas on how best to organise the day. Aaron was caring and kind, yet professional and efficient and we felt that he enabled us to arrange the very best send off for our father.
We couldn’t have managed without Aaron’s calm and proficient attitude to every aspect of the process. At a difficult time, he provided us with the guidance and support we required, for which we are deeply grateful. The whole team were helpful and approachable, and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
The organisation of my father’s funeral was very professional and organised and Aaron took care of all the close relatives, particularly the children. Aaron was able to adapt the funeral to meet our wishes which included the coffin travelling on the back of a lorry along Corsham high street. It was a very well attended funeral and everyone felt the procession and funeral was a very fitting tribute to the life of my father.
Aaron was able to portray the character of my father in the funeral arrangements, and make appropriate suggestions to the funeral arrangements.Aaron has a lovely approach with customers ensuring that they feel comfortable throughout the planning and the funeral and are able to mourn but also take an active role in the funeral arrangements. He is calm and professional and is able to adapt when things do not go quite to plan by ‘getting it sorted’ .
From the moment I called Aaron the stress, sadness and worry about arranging a simple, tasteful and very personal cremation for my Grandmother was lifted from my small family. Aaron listened to our wishes and enabled us to give my Grandmother the goodbye we really wanted. He supported us through every step with kindness and genuine compassion.
He was always up front with pricing and also suggested venues for after the church service. Quality and good practice was the hallmark of everything he did. Having experienced making other funeral arrangements, I would wholeheartedly recommend them and I am so glad we chose Aaron and his caring and highly professional team in arranging my Grandmother’s last journey.
I can’t thank Aaron and his team enough for the guidance and support given to my family and I during what was an incredibly difficult time. My lovely dad was a farmer through and through and with Aaron’s help we were able to make this day a real reflection of the great person he was and everything that was important to him. Dad left his farm yard, the place he loved the most, for his final journey on a purpose built trailer pulled by his own tractor.
A marquee and fantastic catering was arranged for the reception in one of his fields. Various crops he had planted made up part of the flowers. None of this would have been possible without Aaron’s help and dedication (he was even setting up tables and chairs in the rain early on a Sunday morning). Any questions we had were answered clearly and nothing was too much trouble. Aaron has the superb ability to be friendly with a sense of humour whilst remaining respectful and professional. The same can be said for all of his team. We are forever grateful to them.
Aaron Bewley was extremely professional, compassionate and made My Mother and myself feel more at ease organising my beloved Father’s funeral. It was extremely tough for us to think about organising anything but he helped us immensely and that took the burden off of us.
We had to organise a large funeral as we knew that there would be around 500 people attending and Aaron did all the organising, I just gave instructions and approvals which was a great help. The day ran smoothly with no hiccups and it certainly was a day to remember, we sent my Father off in style just as he deserved. Many thanks to Aaron Bewley and his team.
Aaron Bewley has recently handled both of my parents passing away. Both services were very different due family dynamics but Aaron handled both situations with ultimate professionalism whilst maintaining a friendly light-hearted manner. I never realised how difficult Aarons job must be, dealing with grieving families through a terrible time. He helped us navigate an awful few months and even helped raise quite a few smiles and helped remind us that we should always remember the good things. I think Aaron really deserves a medal. Thanks Aaron
Everything my Dad wanted at his memorial service , Aaron delivered , he would have loved the idea of travelling down to Wiltshire getting cremated and travelling back up to Southport! He had that warped sense of humour! The day itself ran as smooth as clockwork , every detail was correct and in order. From when the celebrant began to speak, to my Dad’s favourite music, through to the Eulogy’s to the scattering of his ashes on the 2nd green to the Wake – pork pies, sausage rolls and ham sandwiches ( My dad’s favourite food ) and of course the Free Bar that everyone loved.
In all, although sad, it was a great day and everyone left remembering my Dad with a smile on their faces. I owe a great debt of gratitude for what Aaron did that day. It wouldn’t have happened the way my Dad wanted if it wasn’t for him. Well Done Aaron.
Our sincere thanks to everyone for the superb organisation of Clifford Carter’s funeral in December 2016.
Words cannot sufficiently convey the dedication and professionalism of your team. In particular we would like to thank Sarah Ellis. When Cliff died suddenly, aged 90, Sarah was an oasis of calm and support. She helped us through every decision and ensured that we did not have to worry about anything.
Most importantly, Sarah listened carefully to what the family wanted and ensured all our requests and wishes were carried out. Sarah kept us informed every step of the way and we were all impressed with her helpful advice and thoughtfulness. The actual service at the crematorium was extremely well organised. The Order of Service sheets were beautifully designed by Sarah and received lots of positive comments.
We know that Sarah liaised with many people behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly and would like to convey our thanks to her for everything that she did. Sarah is excellent at her job and a wonderful representative of your company.
First class service by a first class company.
The Carter family
Thank you for the excellent way in which you and your company handled our father’s funeral, from the organisation to the order of service to the actual day.
Thank you for your kindness, your genuine care and unrelenting support from the moment we picked up the phone to the follow up visit a week after our Grandmothers funeral to check in on us and make sure we were all ok.
Thank you for taking the time to understand our needs, to understand out Grandmother, what she loved, who she was and creating a funeral that reflected her in every way.
Thank you to your team who encompass what it really means to celebrate a persons life and for creating a sending-off that was authentically crafted for our Grandmother, for us. Just so so very special.
You are such a breath of fresh air in an industry that is so dark and set in its ways. Where they focus on death you guys helped us to celebrate life, where they stick to tradition and monochrome you created a truly bespoke colourful service to reflect our Spanish heritage.
Aaron, you and the team are so special and will always have a place in our hearts. I just hope that anyone who loses someone close gets to have you and the team to guide them on this difficult journey.
I would like to thank you and your staff for the way you all helped in making Mum’s funeral go so smoothly. If a funeral can be called wonderful then it certainly was.
S White and family
Felt compelled to express my gratitude for such a wonderful service today. For all the extra touches, from the coffin being draped in a flag, eran stopping traffic for my gramps walk through his hometown. As a family I can’t thank you enough. I will never forget the love and compassion you showed you truly were incredible.
Many thanks to you and your team for handling Mum’s funeral so sensitively and so efficiently. The day passed off very well and our friends and family commented on how much they liked the service. I know that the music was unusual for a funeral but it was very appropriate for Mum and I think that it helped to make it more personal. Additionally, the flowers looked beautiful. Mum would have loved them. Thank you once again.
Jackie & Neil M
I would like to say a very big thank you for providing a very sensitive, professional and smooth running funeral for my mum – I don’t think anything could have been done better. At a very emotional time for everyone it was incredibly good to have your team provide a seamless service for us. Thank you again.
Thank you for coming to our rescue so swiftly in our hour of need – for taking the best of care of our darling and helping us to give her the most beautiful, uplifting and joyous thanksgiving service.
Julie and Ali

A special thank you to your mum for the beautiful flower arrangements. We had so many compliments about them.
I cannot even begin to know how to thank you for everything that you have done. You were so professional yet caring and you were so aware of everyone’s feelings at this difficult time. We are all singing your praises for so many reasons.
I just wanted to write a very personal thanks to you and your team for your kindness, care and support over these past harrowing two weeks. As soon as we met I knew you were the man to lead us on our very difficult journey. Your respect, empathy and guidance have helped us to cope with deep sadness. The service was uplifting, dignified and so very, very beautiful. It has not been easy for any of us but your care, concern and consideration have made it bearable and we are truly grateful.
