Music for many is an integral part of the funeral and many types of music are now played at funerals. Music does not have to be limited to classical pieces or a hymn. Favourite pop songs, musicals and even music recorded by a family member can become part of the service.
There are many options available including, for example, hymns played electronically but accompanied by a choir. Whatever your preferred choice of music this can generally be found and played at the service.
Personalising the service is very important to us and selecting the right music can make it feel particularly special.
If you wish to have live music we can arrange this for you. We can provide singers, bands and a Scottish Piper. Whatever you choose, we are happy to help.
Order of Service
An order of service or service sheets, is a step-by-step programme for those attending on what they can expect throughout the funeral. No matter what kind of ceremony you plan, giving a printed order of service to your guests as they arrive will ensure everyone knows what to expect and can be a nice keepsake for family and friends.
Attendance cards can also be provided. These are completed by people attending the funeral service and are of particular value for funerals attended by a large number of people, as they serve as a record for the family. We can arrange for these to be handed out on arrival and will forward them to you following the service
AJB Funerals are happy to help and advise you on how to organise an order of service or/and attendance cards. Both of these are available in a variety of designs and we use a locally based printers in Wiltshire. Depending on what is required by the family we always aim to print the items on recycled card/paper.
We can offer professional printing by local firms subject to the design, style and quantity of any stationery required.
We can advise you on the choices that are available and can show you examples of the various styles that you can choose from.
All of our private chapels of rest are equipped with remembrance books so that visitors, who wish to do so, can record their attendance at the viewing and their memories of the deceased.
Also, remembrance books can be supplied to individual families for their exclusive use providing a lasting reminder of the family, friends and colleagues that attended the funeral.
Their remembrances may be in the form of a note, an anecdote, a poem or a message to the family. After the funeral the book will be a unique record of a sad but important occasion.
Remembrance books are available in a number of different designs, sizes and colours.
